The Uganda International Oil & Gas Summit (UIOGS) is a prestigious government led conference which will provide a platform to discuss the development and best practice of Uganda’s already thriving oil and gas industry.
UIOGS provides a platform for the government and State Companies to engage with international and local investors, ensuring all participants have key opportunities to share knowledge, explore current challenges and examine the most prominent investment opportunities in Uganda and throughout the region.
UIOGS will take place 27-28 September 2017 at the Kampala Serena Hotel and will be hosted again by H.E. Yoweri K Museveni alongside Hon. Minister Irene Muloni, and Dr Ernest Rubondo.
The UIOGS 2017 is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, Uganda with the support of the Uganda National Oil Company and Petroleum Authority Uganda. UIOGS 2017 will once again examine the industry's developments and successes, whilst looking toward the challenges and next steps on the roadmap to production.
With over 21 oil and/or gas discoveries made to date, 87 oil wells drilled and 21 fields in existence, the long-awaited development phase is now in full flow. With the 6.5 billion barrels of oil and close to 500 billion cubic feet of gas, Uganda is one of the most promising areas for exploration ROI on offer.
